Marco Island Vow Renewal
Eric and Robin wanted to document their 35th anniversary with a vow renewal on Marco Island. This is definitely my favorite to date and has such a great story.
Eric was the first to contact me. He booked a session and set it up as a “family” session while their son, his wife, and their new baby were also vacationing with them. Eric had flowers delivered that afternoon to his wife and daughter-in-law as a gesture to make them feel special, the ladies of the family. Or so he said. He wanted to surprise his wife, Robbin with a vow renewal during their family session on the beach.
A few weeks pass by and we are approaching their session date when Robbin reaches out to me. She knew Eric set up a “family” session with me but wanted to surprise him with renewing their vows. I mean come on!
As we began the session Robbin decided to tell Eric that she had a surprise vow renewal set up. Well, you can imagine his surprise and hers when he said, “no, I do!”. Robbin also had a ring made for Eric as an anniversary gift for him. They exchanged vows, Robbin performed the traditional hakafot, in which traditionally the bride circles her husband 7 times creating a “wall of protection”. Eric and their son both read from the Bible in Hebrew. It was simple yet so full of love and emotion.
