Ashley and I met at the JW Marriott on Marco Island for her family photos. It was pouring as I drove over the bridge onto the island, which meant torrential rain. Unfortunately, it was her last night before heading home, so we had to make the most of it and hope the rain moved out in time. We were so close to calling it as the sun was setting in 20 minutes, and it was mostly cloudy and still had light rain. I was pretty doubtful that we were going to be able to pull it off. But thankfully, the rain faded, and we hurried down the beach to catch the last bit of light. Mom only requested that we get a picture of them all walking the beach holding hands. He wasn’t a fan of the sand, which is common with toddlers. But, I was still able to capture some sweet moments in the 10 minutes we were able to shoot. The sound of the waves was so soothing that he fell asleep in dads arms.
