A beach photographers day is made when a family comes to their session all in a great mood and their clothing coordinates well!  This Minnesota family met me on Sanibel Island for their family portraits and I knew right away we were going to have the best time together while also taking fantastic photos for them to remember their trip to the beach forever!

Dale and Diane have the sweetest family!  Everyone gets along great and you can tell how much they love each other!  It is always so much fun to photograph families who genuinely enjoy being together.  I leave these sessions with the biggest smile on my face!

So, this was a first for me… I had never heard of doing something like this but such a good idea – Diane sent all the kids paint color swatches for everyone to match their clothing to.  How genius is that?  If you say “wear blue” to your family, you could get different shades of light blue, dark blue and even teal.  Not good for color coordinating a family of 11 when you have a vision in mind!  I loved their light color scheme with the perfect yellow mixed in.

It’s awesome to see families at all stages in life.  Julie and Kyle have the sweet trio of adorable kiddos.  Andrew and Holly are expecting their first child.  And, Thomas and Beka recently got married!  Funny story, it turned out I was connected to this family.  Beka grew up in Wisconsin near where I lived and our Dad’s know each other and used to work together at the paper mill in town!  Isn’t it funny when you meet someone and find out you are connected?
