Sunny Florida Family Beach Session
I have been booked for every sunset the week of Christmas and the week of New Years for a while now. I so wish I could photograph every family that comes to me, but sadly we only have one sunset a day and most of my clients are only down for a short time. While I do offer sunrise sessions not everyone is on board with rising early. I have a love hate relationship so I get it. I’m a night owl. I stay up past midnight most nights and sleep until 8-9. So getting up at 4:30 is not usually my preference either. I have a 17 year old who thinks that 9 is early! So if I had to get her up at the crack of dawn for pictures she may not be the most pleasant the rest of the day. 🙂
BUT, those with little ones, especially babies, it’s perfect. And, your day is free! So no worrying about if they will have a good nap, if they will be crashing at the end of the day. They are usually happiest in the morning so it usually works out well! And in the summer months, the mornings are a pretty safe bet to avoid any thunderstorms.
Sunny Florida Session
With all that being said, even sunrise and sunset sessions can be booked up on the same day. I do offer late afternoon sessions. This session was done 2 hours before sunset on Ft Myers Beach before my scheduled sunset session. Mom actually thought it would be best to move from sunrise as her kids were a little older and not quite early risers. Every day offers different lighting. The time of year, time of day and amount of or lack of clouds will dictate the feel. This is a great example of a bright sunny day with very little cloud cover.
I had so much fun photographing this family and can’t wait to see what they do with their images!
